greenfield online (grenfieldonline.com)

I don't want to peg one of the largest market research companies in the world as deadbeat, if they aren't.
However, so far, we have completed numerous surveys which promised money in return and not a single one of those have been credited to our account.
It has been over 4 months since some of the first ones were completed --more than enough time.
So, at the two month mark, we emailed their help[at]greenfieldonline.com address.
We got back a generic email telling us it takes time and blah blah blah.
I wrote them back further detailing the situation and never heard back from them.
As of May 1st, 2004; I emailed them again. There was no reply.
So, around May 20th, 2004, I sent them a not-so-nice email demanding an answer as to why we have no credits and have no explanation from them. Still no reply.
I also mentioned that we would be posting our negative experience everywhere that we could. Apparently, they do not care.

We had a feeling that greenfieldonline was a deadbeat company (i.e. not just ignoring us). That really sucks, though. It's irritating when companies will just use comsumers like that in order to make a buck.
Actually, they make a lot of bucks ...makes me sick.
Be sure to post any others that do not pay, but please keep each company in their own thread...
Cheers,
Brandon

Thank you for the input. Maybe they were acquired by new management who lets things go downhill??
If you search in Google for "greenfieldonline", we and mValue show up in the results. And greenfieldonline has obviously noticed because they have taken steps to try to push us down the ladder of the results by adding a new listing that is just a subdomain (i.e. signup.greenfieldonline).
This lets us know that they are such a deadbeat company that they wish to try to "cover up" their shortcomings instead of address them.
In the past, this has been a warning signal of a nearby "going out of business" notice. So, we would not be surprised if they find themselves looking for work soon. Unless they do the right thing and change their ways, we will do everything we can to get the word out about their unscrupulous business practices.
Cheers,
Brandon

We may finally be getting somewhere. One of the senior executives over at Greenfield Online (Harris) has finally taken notice of our reviews and has contacted us.
He seems genuinely interested in what has happened to us (we'll see), and I am hopeful something good will come of this new dialog.
We have given him quite a bit of information and proof of how we (and many others) have been getting ripped off and ignored. He is supposed to review the information and get back to us next week.
I will update this thread with any new developments.
If they can fix their shortcomings, we will even consider re-writing their negative review into a positive one -after a sufficient grace period has passed.
Here's a link to that review:

Wish us luck for everyone's benefit!

Thank you for your post. It is experiences like yours that need to be shared. Greenfield needs to know that we all know what they are doing.
As an update: we have not heard back from them since our last post, and we have seen no changes as yet. I am hopeful that we will hear something soon.
Best Regards,
Brandon

Let's see if they get the message (literally and figuratively)
Just sent back two more with some commentary...boy they're gonna be sick of me if they're not filtering them into the trash :D

Thanks for the head-up everyone. I would be severely irritated if they never paid up on completed surveys.

Yes, you are right. It is not OUR responsibility to keep track of money THEY owe us for working for them and making them money.
Let's keep on them. For now, we just trash their survey invites.

My first survey experience was with Greenfield - and it was actually a good one. I made 10 bucks pretty quickly, requested a check, and got it a few weeks later.
SO, my first experience was great! However, like many here, the quality of surveys, offers, and reward seemed to take a major nose dive, so I quit doing surveys for quite a while. :(
Just a few days ago I decided to check out their available surveys to see if they had added any paid surveys instead of the millions of entries that are a waste of time and have a very low chance of winnings...and to my surprise - there were quite a few surveys that were paid and I actually qualified for!
I decided to take a few surveys and see if they would pay up or not. I checked today and a credit for $5 was posted to my account!
So maybe your protests and reviews have made a difference! I'm sure I'll find out when I see if the rest of the surveys I took post.
Anyway, thanks for your good info!

Thanks for your feedback on this topic.
Unfortunately, yours is an isolated stroke of good luck. For the most part, members are still complaining; and we have not heard back from the executive that was supposed to better things over there.
In fact, we have completed several "paid" surveys worth $5 each; but none of them have posted.
It still looks like the same ol' BS going on to us. One member here even reported that they were told the completed surveys were not tracked. So, how can survey takers at Greenfield "trust" that they will be paid. They cannot.
I wish you the best that the rest of your surveys post, but don't hold your breath.
Best Regards,
Brandon

BTW, tigersoul, getting the money credited to your account is only half the battle...don't hold your breath waiting for a check when you finally redeem it.

I've decided I'd do a little test - with my measly 10 bucks that I've earned - I have just requested a check from Greenfield. I bet they'd be more willing to cut a ten dollar check than a seventy dollar check....SO...starting now - how long will it take.
Also...the last survey I took from Greenfield connected me to a different company, "OTX Research" which I have been connected to from other survey sites...like goZing, so my question is this: Does OTX only outsource their surveys, or can you take surveys directly from OTX? I'm sure that the 3 bucks that Greenfield claims to pay for "their" survey is only a small fraction of what they receive from OTX. This was a LONG survey about Movies - which should have been worth more. Anyway, That's all. Thanks.
