Me myself, I do it all the time. I have made it a regular habit because it works! By optimizing your content with good keywords your pages can soar to the top of the search engines. I am happy to say that many of mine have :animalsmiley037:

Optimizing page content for just one or two keywords works fine. But remember that
over optimizing can harm your content. You will get top and gets visitors but in an
inefficient manner.

It might make a decrease in sell of your product or services due to the fact that
your content seems machine generated type and will decearse the sense of reliance.

You should always have a good percentage of keyword density to optimize :)
