I don't know, they seem to just be a HUGE waste of time with all the bogus sweepstake offers, hype and non-qualifying surveys. The only one that I've found to be ok so far is MySurveys.com. They seem to be ok but still no sizable amount of money. Me personally, I'd rather participate in Paid Focus Groups; they are much more time worthy. I can give my opinion in a paid focus group and earn $50-$150 average for just 1-2hours of my time. This makes farr more sense to me.

Are they worth the effort? That can depend on many factors such as how bad you need the extra cash, the amount of free time you have to apply to it and, how patient you are. Yes, it can be frustrating seeing survey after survey go by without qualifying. I'd say I qualify for maybe 1 of every 5 at best. You just have to accept that's the way it is and press on to the next survey. I'm retired so the time factor isn't an issue. I'd say I'm averaging 1.5 hours a day on surveys. Much less on weekends.

The key to making a reasonable amount of money at it, if that is the goal, is to register with as many survey sites as you can find. When I first started I registered with around 150 sites. As time went on I eliminated many of the sweeps only and other non productive sites. I'm currently registered with 42 survey sites that have shown they are money makers or at least have the potential. This "weeding process" will save you a lot of time and frustration. Do I loose chances to win a sweep? Sure do but, your chances of winning are nill anyway, though I did win one for $50 ages ago. Another key is demograhics. You are what you are so you're pretty much stuck with your facts. Some feel the need to cheat. I don't.

I started taking surveys in Nov 05. I've earned $2588 to date. Based on what I've read that's about average. My best sites are SurveySpot, Opinion Outpost, and Global Test Market. I was involved in one bulletin board focus group with 20/20 for $75. "In person" focus groups are a great resource if you live close enough to one to make it practical to take part in. Unfortunately, we don't live near enough to a metropolitan area. If you do and you become a regular customer it's a great way to go. Cheers.

I am disabled, so I am on the internet pretty much all day. I answer surveys and enter sweepstakes. I do pretty good with both. Sweepstakes: I win something at least 3-4 times a week. I have won everthing from a week long trip to Colorado for a family of four(me,husband, 1 son and 1 daughter...worked out great). I have also won books, gift cards, clothes, food, and alot of other items. Just this past week I won a $1400 gift basket filled with "green" baby items, as well as a $400 gift card to Best Buy. ...Getting back to the surveys. The Fedex man or UPS man drop off 1-2 test products a week. I earn enough money in a year to spoil my kids with all kinds of goodies at Yule(Pagan winter holiday). I also earn gift cards and other nice items that I might keep, or give as gifts.

It breaks my heart everyday that I can't work. No, really. I used to be a florist and I would have volunteered my time. I always looked forward to going to work. I miss it, but do enjoy the extra time with my teenagers. Life is funny sometimes...

People wanted to know of good paying survey companies. A good one is Survey Savvy. They offer IT and consumer surveys, and for teens as well. They pay cash for every survey and are pretty regular. Please signup using the link in the advertising forum below.

Thanks, LauraB

it helps to only go on sites that have good reputations/positive reviews.

for paid surveys, treasuretrooper, cashcrate, and swatcash are among the best. they all have plenty of payment proofs and member forums, which is something you should look for.

personally i like treasuretrooper because it has an excellent approval rate, and theres the pearl system - after every offer you might win a pearl, and with 8 pearls you get 2 free referrals (unreferred members get assigned to you), as well as other bonus features.

I think Paid Surveys are worth the time. It takes an effort. I've been doing them for the last several years and have made really good money with them. The best advice I can give is never join a survey site that tries to charge an up front fee.

Sure it worth taking surveys if you want to take some extra cash. But I think it's much easier to join gpt site and take surveys via their panel. Less spam and more comfortable.

There are a bunch of them Cashcrate< Inboxdollar and my fovourite UniqueRewards

They are worth the effort if you know what tricks to use to get more surveys, it includes lieing but it saves a lot of time and you get more surveys and more money.

It depends on if you find a good one, and by that I mean ones that pay decent for the surveys you take, so do you're research before signing up to any sites to save you from wasting you're time on a scam site. I personally dont even use paid survey panels anymore, I use get paid to sites there kind like survey panels but have way more free ways to make money other than just taking surveys gpt site have games, offers, referral programs, and surveys that you can make money online with, its by far the best way to get some quick free cash online.
