Thanks for sharing, usdollars8!
I actually think that isn't too bad. Most sites do not work for genuine (non-incentived) sign-ups like that. Congrats!
The real answer to your question will be in how much does Hits4pay generate for you off of your referrals. The first part (bidvertiser) seemed to work but now you have to hope that Hits4pay will earn you more than you paid.
In general, though, I think that $1.71 for a genuine, active sign-up is a great deal.
Personally, I would gladly pay that much for 100 sign-ups to this forum! In fact, I've never bothered with bidvertiser but maybe I'll check it out. Send me your referral link, if you have one. I'll give it a try and sign up under you.
Cheers,
Brandon

Hi Brandon,
I would like to explain how I value a referral under me in Hits4pay.
Experience shows that most people after they join a program, at a certain point of time they tend to loose interest and get bored specially if they don't have referrals under them; so they decide to quit but they click till they reach payout and then quit.
I will assume that all my referrals do the same, so when a referral under me reaches payout he will make for me $7.50; Now a member from US, CA or UK will make me this $7.50 in 4 to 6 months and sometimes more it depends on the interests chosen. However, a member from other countries he will reach payout after 8 to 10 months.
All that said is forward looking and I assumed that they will reach payout just from their direct clicks without referrals.
Now for bidvertiser:
I used their ads three times I promoted thru them paid programs and survey panels, they are good so far.
you can join under me from my blog I have a banner for them and they are offering a $20 clicks for free.
thanks
Freddy

Thanks for the further details. It would appear that you made some profit then (eventually), so any profit is good profit.
Thanks. I will join through your link in your blog then.
I did notice the $20 free click promotion and once I deposit (probably $50 to test), you should also get $20 in free clicks.

Hi usdollars8,
I think my ads aren't the right market for bidvertiser. I used up my $20 and tracked all the clicks and performance. I had a 100% bounce rate for highly targeted key terms.
That's not normal.
So, I think it won't work for what I want to advertise. Perhaps it will work better for other niches. I have canceled my account with them.
I wish it had performed as well for me.
