It's been awfully quiet around here lately... especially considering that emails are now being delivered properly (once again) and I launched a marketing initiative over the past holidays that had quite a few, new and active sign-ups.

I'm just curious if:

1. We asked/answered everyone's questions?
2. People have been busy busy with offline stuff?
3. Newbies are scared to post for whatever reason?
4. Something else I didn't think of?

For me, I've been quiet lately only because I've been putting 110% into a new sale I'm working on. Also, there's been few new, relevant posts when I stop by here. So, there's not much for me to comment on or answer.

Hopefully, for you, it's #1 and we've answered all questions and everyone is making a milliieeeeooon dollars per month! hehe. If not, then feel free to ask away!

Cheers,

Brandon

I noticed it's been rather quiet on here also, not sure why. Think a lot of people on here have learned so much good information they have few to little questions. While many of us have answers to the most basic of questions, few are asking them.

I still promote this forum on my site, and recommend it people.

That could be. I had this thought myself that maybe the forums covers the basics for most people. :) That's a good thing!

That is much appreciated, goozik. Thank you for your support!

For the time that I've spent here (since '05), what I noticed is the lack of community. People seem to come and go..

I've noticed that as well. There are several "long-timers" but -in general- people do peek in and then disappear.

I'm forced to wonder if most people:
  • are only interested in spamming and running (as if that will work for them),
  • have no questions not already answered here before
  • feel uncomfortable here at GPH or are intimidated
  • have some issue I haven't thought of...
I think that a majority of people looking to make money online are quickly frustrated and give up OR they just spam forums hoping to make a quick buck and don't bother learning the "real way" to make money online.

Hmm... It would be nice to know. At one time, GPH had a fairly strong community, but job and personal life took over for several of them. However, I've been seeing some of those popping back around the forum lately. :)

I'm definitely open for comments or suggestions.

Hello Zunairah and welcome to GPH :)

The page to sign up for Adsense is here:
http://www.get-paid-hwy.com/index.php?auto...mp;code=explain

There are also instructions on that page, but basically, you will join Adsense using http://www.get-paid-hwy.com as your domain. Once approved, you will go back to link I put in above and paste your publisher code there. The site will automatically put the information in to your profile. If you have any questions once you are approved, just let me know.

Here's a link to another thread with a lot of good questions answered:

I am not going to lie. I cam here to promote my site. I did not expect to become part of the community. Even though I only participate from time to time. I love the forum and think it is a great one. I beilive majority of people come and go to promote as this website has lots of american members and traffic and like any money making forum is a target for spam.

Well, we're glad you stuck around, and I think your observation is right one. Do you think the "Open Marketing Forum" area gives any exposure? I specifically made that section so that people could be self-promoting and such. We can't have strict rules all the time everywhere! lol What do you think?

I think that marketing section is/was a very good idea. You know people are going to come to promote regardless of what you do. To offer an area like that actually keeps spam down and keeps some advertising under control. When you say exposure, what exactly do you mean? You mean, do more people notice the forum, or do you think the marketing section is noticed enough?

Yes, exactly. I meant have you noticed (if you use it) that anyone visits your offers in that section. I am curious if it works as intended. I built that to allow a place for free promotion, but in doing so, I figured that others who were promoting things would also check out what other people are promoting. So, I was hoping that it might also pay-off for those that use it.

I would suspect that many newbies are scared to ask because a lot of the forums tend to treat them a little poorly. I've seen some forums where a newbie will ask a question in the wrong section and they get 20 responses telling them that it's the wrong place for their post. That can't be encouraging. Hopefully they will start finding this forum a bit warmer. I personally have gotten a lot of information here so far and have just recently started posting more.

That's very true. I tend to jump on spammers and I hope that doesn't intimidate newbies but I don't think anyone jumps onto someone's case for posting a "newbie" question in the wrong place. We simply move it to the right place and then try to answer their question. So, hopefully newbies see that --as you say- and feel that GPH is a warmer community. :)

I certainly hope so too. I have noticed that a lot of people that are getting involved in the make money at home arena are a lot of younger people. It seems that sometimes they get a little over-zealous about answering the same questions over and over. Hopefully, as time goes on, we can continue to show our support to everyone that comes here for help.

I always thought getting paid for filling out surveys are all scams. But this site helped me a lot and I found out that some of the sites out there are indeed legit. I've made quite a sum since then from my top sites :)
