I believe that doing some sponsored review on products and service will not help your Google rankings but instead, this will bring your rankings down. This is the case of what happened to the famous blogger John Chow. He is always bragging about his earnings on his sponsored review.

I believe it highly depends. For instance,if you get someone respected and with a highly trafficked site to write a review about you site or service,a positive one,I believe it will bring many visitors and of course increase your site quality in the perspective of people.I don't think I need to tell you how many sales does a mark 9.x review on Cnet get.
It all depends.

Actually it’s a case to case basis. For bloggers, doing a sponsored review will bring down their ranking if Google find out that you are paid to do so. This is always the case when you a re doing a sponsored review for Payperpost. They have this code attach to post that could easily detected by Google spiders. On other paid-to-blog sites you are not required to put in a code in your website, so it’s hard to know if you are paid to do so. If you will put the word sponsored review on your tag, it is sure that your rankings will go down.

For advertiser, using sponsored review will get their sites a higher rank. This usually takes place between 3 – 6 months. It takes that long to get the Google ranking.

My problem is not with the PR, it's with my own credibility. I have no intention of posting such information on my sites since I consider paid reviews to be uninteresting (I don't read such things) and unsincere in the end. I like presenting ideas and tips, I sell links and banners, but not paid reviews
