Since it is helpful for readers to know what types of advertising is out there, I am posting my SE-friendly text link marketplace here. This is a marketplace designed around the principle of buying and selling text link advertisements that can easily be ignored by search engines. This -we do- because some search engines are unable to cope with the "link spammers" who abuse "organic linking" to manipulate rankings in various search results.

This marketplace contains listings for websites (typically only higher traffic sites accepted) who offer javascript-delivered or "no-followed" links. A no-follow link is one which has <a href... rel="nofollow"></a> which is currently used as an indicator by some search engines that you do not necessarily "vote for" the site to which you are linking. This too, in time, will become abused and cause a LOT bigger problems that we have now (read article on this, titled "Who Will Clean Up Google's Mess?"
