Yeah!!! I got my adsense application approved today !!! :bearwub:

It's obvious I am totally new to Adsense, it would be great if anyone is willing to share or provide some information or guides for newbies like myself.

Do you have some tip that can help us do better with Adsense?

By the way, for those of you without a website, please note that nightfall is proof that Google will approve you without one by entering in http://www.get-paid-hwy.com as your domain. :)

Oh yeah, and congratulations, nightfall!! :bearwub:

Hi Rockin,

You would probably make more in clicks than anyone else, actually... since you have TWICE the number of posts that even I have. lol

If you are paid more than $600, you will need to report it on your taxes. That is true of any US-based company that is in compliance with federal regulations. If you don't make at least $600, then you don't have to bother. Even though the forum is just now starting to gain momentum again, I would guess you could make a dollar per day doing nothing more than you already do... chatting with friends. As the forum grows in popularity, so will everyone's earnings.

Does that help clarify things??? :cheez:

Sincerely,

Brandon

Yes. If you don't want to participate, you simply stop sending them traffic. However, the minimum payout is $100, so if you don't reach that minimum, then they will keep your earnings. I don't see that happening, since you should easily make the minimum within a few months. Plus, the balance carries over each month, so there's no risk. And, this one of the largest companies in the world, so I feel safe that they have never given out my email or broken their privacy policy.

Yes, they have a very detailed earning tracking system and they will send you a 1099 at the end of the tax season. If you made less than $600, you can do whatever you like with it. If you made more than that, then you put it on your taxes and their form will tell you how.

Sure, no problem. I just think you should get something back for all the loooooong hours you've dedicated to GPH! :)

This is one way I see to do that. If you have any questions, please let me know. Also, this page will help you insert your code into your profile -if you get stuck on that part:

Great! Of course, I'll help you out... ;)

There are a lot of choices, but to work with the forum, you just need to choose 'AdSense for Content' and don't worry about customizing the colors and stuff --the default is fine. Click your way through to the end and you will get some code. Your publisher ID is in that code. It is something like "pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx", but the forum will filter it out for you here:

Congratulations!

There are only a few things that I can advice you. Don’t click on your own adsense advertisement. Adsense will consider this as a proud click and it’s not appreciated by most advertisers (I think that I don’t I have to explain that part). If you accidentally click your own ads then report yourself to Adsense to prevent termination of your account.

Good luck!
