Good Morning to All,
Thought I would share a bit of info with you.
20/20 Research Online is currently conducting a research project regarding
snacks. We are inviting women from across the US to participate in an
online bulletin board discussion that is taking place May 17-20.
A bulletin board is a new, cutting-edge way to conduct market research with
busy people like you. The discussion consists of about 15 other people and
a moderator. This format allows you to log in once a day at your
convenience and take part in the current discussion anonymously. You will
also be able to read everything that others have said and respond candidly.
You will need to log in at least twice a day for four days and it will take
you about 30-45 minutes per day to participate. You can log in from any
computer with an Internet connection, whether at work, home or elsewhere.
As a token of appreciation for your time and participation, we will send you
a check for $75 at the end of the discussion.
We'd like to ask you to participate in a very brief (3-4 minutes) online
survey to see if you qualify for the discussion. Click below to begin the
quick survey
It was also stated within the e-mail invitation they would be calling by phone to let you know if you are accepted for the survey. So...this is another case where you would have to decide about when and who you give your phone# out to.

Rockin7E

Yes, caller ID can be a "Good Thing" I have noticed on a few of the survey places that have called me, on the ID it shows up as "out of Area" So...you may wanna keep that in mind. Suppose you just have to take a chance when deciding to answer the phone on the "out of area" calls....
Good Luck!!!

Yep... this is where a non-English language comes in handy. :D
If it's someone I didn't want to talk to, I usually just start spouting off some Chinese phrases and then go into spanish. That usually gets them to go ahead and hang up quickly.

I completed a BB forum with 20/20 about two months ago about medical/patient issues. As stated, had to sign in 4 days and answer about 20 questions per sign in. Was pretty painless and interesting to boot. No spam or unwanted phone crap since. $75 check showed up a week later. I'd jump on an invite without hesitation.
Puravida - sure wish I knew a foreign language. That's a great trick you have.

For those of you who are interested in paid surveys, I would like to provide the information to a reputable and professional company that performs market research. It is called 20/20 Research and is a Tennessee-based company that also just last month made the top 100 list of companies for the state. Their surveys pay very well and appear to be conducted very professionally. I recently received an invitation for a focus group in Philadelphia that paid a minimum of $65 for a little over an hour, with potential for much more! Note they will only send out several invitations a year - they are NOT interested in "survey professionals" and speak very unfavorably on their site about those paid survey companies. I think you will be impressed with their site. It doesn't hurt to register. If you receive an invitation and are not interested in that particular survey, often you can forward the invite on to someone for whom it may be better suited.
Once you are in their site, and after reviewing it, if you would like to register, click on Join Our Panel in the upper right of the screen. Click to visit www.2020research.com
