Sorry but I have a Canon and have never bought a Kodak. So, I cannot really recommend one. :)
Maybe someone else here has a Kodak they love?

So, I will probably be replacing my Olympus with a Kodak Easy Share Digital. We bought one for our daughter, and, she does movies, etc with it. It is simple, and, easy to operate...It is also small, easy to slip into one's pocket, or small bag. Also, it does not have the delay feature that my Olympus does...I miss a lot of good shots because of that.
If you are wanting a complicated, sophistic camera, you would probably NOT want a Kodak Easy Share; but, it's what I'm planning on getting when the time comes.

Yeah, I used to LOVE Sony but I've had so much trouble with the last two big screens I bought that I doubt I will ever buy another one. Currently, my TV is 99% heavily yellow tinted on everything white, and it drives me crazy. Their support won't cover it and the repair will be $1,200 on a TV currently only worth $2,000 (or less). So, my happiness level with Sony has dropped to an all-time low.

Well I can certainly understand your view on this...As far as the TV is concerned...Sorry to hear about this discouraging bit of info. Just purchased my 1st flat panel this past holiday...LCD/Westinghouse brand..So far so good...My question is which is better LCD or plasma
Anyone care to educate me on the TV dilemma???

Canon
Nikon
Panasonic
Kodak is a great company but honestly their products are always a step behind these 3 companies.
If given a choice I would get the Panasonic Lumix series, they have very very good scene modes unlike many others I have seen..
Sorry if I cannot recommend any from Kodak except for the M1033 Easyshare, which I believe is not out yet.. you can check it out at kodak(dot)com.
I personally used
Canon IXUS
Casio EXLIM (cheap, great to bring around for trashing and slim)

I think you made the right choice.
The deal with plasma was that the picture was brighter and crisper than LCD. But, over the past year or two, LCD has made great strides.
The problem with plasma tv's are that they are much heavier and tend to be a lot more sensitive. For instance, you move it and it bumps a wall and gets a weird "spot" in it or something. With LCD, I haven't really heard of anything like that. It either works or it doesn't.
My current big screen is an XBR1 60" DLP -which is still a projection screen (i.e. not LCD). I bought a projection screen in an age of flat panels because the DLP were so bright and beautiful that this tv even beat out the plasmas. It wasn't until about a year later that 80% of all tv's of this model began this yellow tint issue. The OB (Optics Board / Light Engine) is the problem and is VERY expensive.

They aren't all slow...our daughter has an Easy Share, and, it has no delay...don't know the model/
That really gripes my DH, because, my Olympus does have the delay on it....miss some good shots!
However, my Olympus has the movie feature on it, that I have never learned how to use. So, the missed shots are really my own fault .
