Many don't take working at home seriously and don't see it like a usual job... though it is: it has its advantages and disatvantages, you also have to work hard to earn good money, you need many skills to keep up with the online market. Let's try tor make a list of good and bad things when you are working at home:
For example, I hate the fact that sometimes you get lazy and don't practice anymore sports. Some fatten up quickly - fortunately, I don't, though I do miss a lot being more active and not staying that much on one chair daily.
You need good motivation, as you always get distracted from your work because of the TV, phone, friends, food near, and so on... Of course, you do get to make your own program on the other hand, and don't need to wake up very early unless you want to :D
You also depend on others. On the ones that take care of your server, on your Internet provider... It's a very unstable job, you don't get a fix ammount of money each month, and so on.
Now I'll let you complete this list...

Working from home: Advantages and Disadvantages

i for one would love to work only from home:
I would be very comfortable in my own room.
I could eat or drink .. milk (i don't drink coffee..) whenever i want.
I could wear what clothes i feel like wearing.
I could go to my own bathroom.
I wouldn't have a boss to tell me what to do.
On the other hand, i find this to be a big disadvantage: no more socializing. Being at home every day makes it less easy to communicate with other human beings. Only chatting is not a healthy way to express feelings.

Advantages:
1. I can wake up at what time I wish (never was a morning person)
2. don't have to travel to work
3. can also do the home errands
4. I am close to my family
Disadvantages:
1. sometimes I am not working as hard as I should
2. I don't socialize that much
3. the errands kinda eat my time sometimes and this means not working
4. the family takes my presence the wrong way and think I'm here to have fun with them
5. a normal job offers stability. In a web business you own and run from home there are good and bad months

I think the biggest disadvantage would be that it's hard to keep a normal working schedule while also being with your loved ones. They all want you to be there to help, play, solve issues and not always they understand you are "at work" there.
And the biggest advantage I think would be that you can make your schedule as you wish. if you have to solve a problem in the family, then you can take some time from work and solve it and not have to ask your boss to let you go home earlier.
