This is another good way to earn some good revenue from Google Adsense. Mainly one has to see a well paying topic (where the clicks have big value) and then create a site with some information related to it, promote and put the adsense banners. The problem with such sites is that most of them are low quality and get banned soon from the search engine. What would you do to still have a good investment and not have it all crumble down?

I would share some tips and then maybe you can come with some more:

Create good content for the visitors too
.. many just put "SE" friendly information and the sites cannot be read by a normal human due to the excessive optimization for the keywords they have in mind. I think more care in this would really make it work. I created an orthodontics related site (since I wear braces now) .. it's seriously optimized, but still very pleasant for the reader. And adsense does perform well. it's not a MFA, but still there are good earinings

Be prepared to develop some more ..

I think many just throw a site and leave it. if I see it has a bit of success, I'd really try to work more on it and maybe increase my revenue

What do you guys think?

Welcome to the forum, netguy.

I agree with you that making sites "Search Engine" friendly is somewhat important but shouldn't be the main focus. If a site makes some money, then it's usually worth it to write some more content --especially since "new" and "fresh" content brings more visitors than an article written in 2004! haha.

Updating the content of the site is a good idea, so that people (1) have a reason to come back (and 2) can actually find you.

Blend the ads in the design of the site, so that they don't be to intrusive. Many leave the site because they are looking for information but only find ads. It's important to now how and where to place the ads.
for example: place the ads after a title of an article and try to make them look similar to the site (maybe use the same color).

Very true... While we don't want to "trick" people into clicking ads, we do sometimes want to place ads and blending them in is so much better than visiting a site with annoying banners and huge multi-colored links! haha.

Glad you like, tyler :flowers:

I should mention also to anyone considering using AdSense that making a site primarily for "AdSense" revenue is strictly prohibited and could end up getting your publisher account closed and forfeit your earnings. So, if you are going to do this, please please please take the time to write some good content and make a decent design.

I've read that if you want to do it, running your topic through the Google Traffic Estimator is the best way to get started. I've been thinking about throwing some up to see what happens...

MFA sites are against Google Adsense TOS.
You will be caught, and you will be banned.

Basically you just brainstorm topics and run them through this. If the Search volume on them is high enough, then you just toss together a wordpress blog with lots of adsense ads, and post enough content on it to make it legit. It wouldn't be just a page of ads, but the goal would be to get the maximum amount of clicks at the highest rates with the least amount of work. Some people swear by this sort of thing...

This is true in general. However, people who build those kinds of sites work on the law of averages. They have lots of spam sites and when one (or ten) go down, then have more that replace those.

Ah, thanks for the info. I did not know about this tool.

Yeah, I know people who use this and it does work. It's still spam if you're not really dedicated to the content and maintaining it, but it does work. I know someone who makes thousands per month off of spammy sites. I mean, if spam emails and spam sites didn't work, there wouldn't be any, right? :)

I want on-going, residual income without having to "fight" to spam search engines. So, I -personally- won't be making any spammy sites, but I have been tempted.
