Looks like the Pinecone new member promotion is over for now... I hope everyone who wanted in got a chance to apply!

I removed the links -since they are no longer valid. I will update again if I find them again and invite anyone else to do the same.

Pinecone only activates their links for new referrals for short (usually) periods of time. Then, whenever they "re-activate" their links at a later date, they are usually different in some way. In other words, it's normal. ;)

OK, got my "official" you are a member e-mail. I'm at $3 a survey, which is better than a lot of GPT sites, but man, $5 sounds a lot better...

Kinda bogus though: "You will receive your first survey in a few weeks"

Hopefully it doesn't take that long...

Pincone is STILL taking applications...

It seems that Pinecone launched a major promotion campaign back in December -as I am still seeing banners occasionally. They are using TribalFusion now -which puts banners on sites like MySpace, Yuwie, Tutorial Outpost, etc. You should be able to spot one floating around, if you surf enough on the major GPT sites.

The links that whizkid posted might work for you, but I know they change their URLs from time to time in order to break someone just putting up a link like that. So, if it works, then great. If not, try surfing some of those sites I mentioned above.

Ciao,

Brandon

Why is it that everyone is so infatuated with Pinecone???

I make lots more $$$ from alot of other survey sites other than the Cone... I will never understand what it is about Pinecone...

Yeah, well, they only pay $3 per survey to new members, so the infatuation may go down a bit

Oh, and it also occurred to me that this thread sees a lot of traffic because I promote Pinecone on my related sites. I get a lot of the "Pinecone Research" search traffic --since most people don't bother mentioning pinecone due to them not having an affiliate program. But, my goal is to provide a list of ALL paying sites, so I send a lot of traffic here by way of my reviews.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get accepted by Pinecone? For about 3 months I have submitted 3 applications to Pinecone and have yet received anything from them saying I have been accepted. Do you have to have an actual invitation to join or just submitting an application from one of their banners found on various sites the way to go? I have heard so much about Pinecone and it seems to be a good site to belong to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you use a free email account? I just ask because you might not be getting their emails, if so. They may have replied and sent you a reply but it went to your spam folder, possibly.

No, not yet.

So far, I got an "Agree to the Terms" email and a "System Compatibility Test"... that's it. :wowow:

Yeah, I think last year saw a slow-down industry wide. I run a paid surveys site myself, and I know that I hardly ever get requests anymore and when I do, they are so targeted that only a small percentage of my users get the survey. I think that's the same everywhere -which is why places like goZing send theirs to everyone but then say "Sorry, this survey is full" when you go there. They want to send an email so you "think" they are active.

I don't do that, so my site -to most people- probably seems dead. :(

I wish I had more time to devote to finding more survey opportunities for people. Perhaps I can improve that sometime during this year.

Anyway, just thought I'd relay that it's a tough job getting those surveys.

Cheers,

Brandon

I received a $3 check just for signing up with this survey company. They are a company that pays but I haven't gotten many surveys yet.

1. Link to spammy site removed

2. I forgot to mention that I did get a survey that I completed a little over a week ago. I also got a pretty cool sample in the mail from that one.

Oh, and yes, it seems they have lowered the payout for new people that join.
