Just to comment on an old post by Rockin7E, who didn't over-praise Pinecone--I happen to agree. You know what they say about the grass always being greener on the other side of the fence, or you always desire things more when you can't have it. Now that I'm a member of Pinecone, I'm wondering why I was so gungho about joining. I certainly can make more with a couple of other survey companies, and I don't think Pinecone's surveys are any more interesting than the others. I think Pinecone knows a thing or two about human nature and how to use it to their advantage

Hmmm...Somehow I missed this post by Classical...Any way...Glad to see someone out there agrees with me about the Cone" being over-rated!!! I do admit they are timely on their $5 payments as I rec'd a check from them today!!!
I just will not sit and fret about whether or not they send me surveys...If they do fine and if not fine...The $5 is just a little added bonus....

I also received my second cheque today, and I completed my third survey today, too. They're nothing if not consistent, that's for sure. Thanks again to whizkid for the link .

Rec'd another $5 check from the cone today... Now if I can just win the $1,000 Christmas cash radio game...I have been tryin all day....Ya gotta be the 100th caller...I did get thru but was too late...They give away $1,000 5 times a day this week and if you win the $1,000 you automatically get entered to win a Million...I'd be happy with the 1,000 bucks!!!

hey i received mail from pine cone

Dear Panelist,

Your participation in PineCone Research has been instrumental in allowing our clients to gather opinions that help them determine which product ideas are winners and which are not. We appreciate your support.

As technology changes, we must update our system to keep pace with improvements that are occurring in the online environment. Keeping pace with efficiencies that are beneficial to the implementation of our surveys is important to assure timely response to our clients and continued membership advantages for our panelists.

We have begun a panel-wide update of our system. You will likely see little impact of many of these changes. However, one of the things that will change is the timing of our incentive payment. Our check processing will no longer occur as early as it did in the past. For the majority of our panelists, this represents no change since they currently receive their incentive check following their completion of their assignment. For others, you will receive your checks several days later than you are accustomed to. The timing of completion of your survey will activate the generation of your incentive payment.

We will rollout these changes gradually over the next couple months. Your inclusion will likely be timed differently than other panel members so please do not feel confused if you hear that only some people are experiencing some variations within the current system, or if payment arrives before survey completion on one project and following on another. Everyone will eventually be working within the updated system.

You will have to find a pinecone banner somewhere on the net as they don't have a "referral syatem" Only once in a blue moon do they take referrals and then they want certain demographics...They had open enrollment awhile back...but it was only for a week and is now over. Good Luck in your search for their banner.
BTW...Welcome to the forum!!!
