A.W. Surveys Site Fraud

Warning:

A.W. Surveys seems too good to be true, because it is. $1.25 per referral should have immediately clued me in, but I decided to take a chance and get burned.

I have 82 referrals under me + $27 in surveys done. That totals $129.50 and I have received $0 of it since I attempted to cash-out on 6/22/07. The owner, Adam Seebeck, has failed to give me proper customer service involving the situation, nor a viable reason as to why I have not received my funds. While he claims that several of my referrals had signed via the same IP, I hardly doubt all 82 of them used the same overseas IP to sign up for this offer.

Regardless, I have submitted a claim to the BBB and they are reviewing the site. I would HIGHLY recommend staying away from A.W. Surveys, as well as any of it's sister companies owned by Aclarn, Inc.

These companies include:
*SurveyKing.com
*TopSurveys.com
*AWSurveys.com
*Aclarninc.com
*OrganizeThem.com
*Hi-Shorts.com
*Style-Hope.com
*DanceAndBeyond.com

Best Regards,

Cristobel

I have heard a lot about them on other forums and indeed they are a complete and total scam. they actually started up earlier this year and tons of people went crazy searching for referrals and racking up "earnings." And then they tried to cash out and didn't get paid, and didn't get paid, and didn't get paid. And then, poof! the site was gone for several weeks.

When it came back, no one's accounts were there anymore. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them, but at least you know you are not alone.

Yeah. A.W. is horrible :P I'm glad I found it before you guys did. Most people don't take the initiative to post bad sites.

Just going to post current happening through the Survey Police:

AW Surveys Survey Panelist Complaint

In this case, the majority of accounts referred were fraudulent because of identical IP Address. We have sent 10+ emails to this user, they are ether being caught in their spam filter or are disregarding them for other reasons. We do pay our survey takers and have processed over 1500 payments last month alone.

I have received every single e-mail from them. I have also responded to every single e-mail. On their site it say:

"When we periodically delete Fraudulent accounts and they have your Referral tag on them, you will lose them as your referral. We know that you can not control what your referrals do, but this is why we recommend only referring your friends that you know will not commit fraudulent activities."

I have yet to have one single referral removed from underneath me, nor given the amount of referrals that weren't fraudulent. They are providing an arbitrary number of "Over 25" for fraudulent sign ons, but can't provide me with an exact number. I can not control who signs on under me. If someone uses my referral link to sign their friends up or even sign up severals times under me, I have no control over this and A.W. Surveys claims to understand this.

Arbitrary amounts do not solve this situation and a even with a loose interpretation of your rules, this is asinine.

Any thoughts you guys can provide would be great!

Something is wrong with the internet. It just hasnt been staying up long enough before I finish a survey. Then when I get back on of course I have to start over. So I kinda gave up for now.. lol

Hey BluPenguin,

I think it might be your ISP, I have dialup which stinks but I am stuck with it until cable or someone deceides I live in this world. To The point I have been cut off like ten times in the past 24 hrs. It is like  they are driving me nut's. I am going to  as fast as I can to any thing new that comes my way to get rid of the ISP I have. The phonr company I have which also handles my internet con. has put a filter on my line and I can't even get another ISP. They even told me this over the phone, I would look at your ISP before I looked at anything elese.

It's the cable company. (I have a cable modem) Recently we have been getting alot of thunderstorms in the area, and even if it's something on the other side of town, they shut the whole thing down.. >.> I just said *something is wrong with the internet* to sum it up. I ment something is wrong with the cable company, lol. Our cable even goes out if the phone company lines go out, because someone ALWAYS cuts the cable line as well to fix whatever problem.. I know.. its stupidity, maybe its because I live in Mississippi.. >.>

I have actually heard of somebody getting paid from this site, but it could be just false. Glad you told me because I signed up for this site and i'm not going to do it anymore.

I just requested my first check with A.W. Surveys this week. I am glad that I know now that they are a scam and that I won't receive my check instead of waiting for the check. I am disappointed though that I won't get my money. $1.25 per referral is too good to be true but I hoped that they wouldn't be a scam since every other survey site I take surveys for isn't.

I'll post if I receive a check from them. It is funny though how they state on the account page that they have recently sent out checks and paid members through Paypal. I am not sure what they would gain by having members sign up for free and take surveys and then not send out checks. If I don't get a check, this would be the first survey company I have been involved with that didn't pay me.
