Survey Slow-Down :(

Hello everyone!

If you are a member with a lot of paid survey companies, then you may have noticed that there is currently a slowing down of offers and opportunities. This is mostly because you are seeing a lot fewer duplicate surveys through different companies. It is also because the targeting is getting fiercer --which means many people won't meet the criteria or offers close before you get to them.

At arcSurvey, we listen. We know a good many of you have never received a survey from us. Even those who have received a survey from us have only gotten 1 or 2 of them. We do apologize and know that you joined arc Survey to get more, cash-paying surveys --not just to get a free list of surveys. We strive to be different, but it is tough for a start-up in this market.

One problem is that we strive to send only cash paying surveys and try to pay at least $3-$5 for each one you complete. With the competition heating up in this industry, it is getting tougher and tougher for us to locate advertisers with a large enough demographic. So, most of our members are not in the correct demographic for a given offer.

We would love to hear feedback from our wonderful members on how to better improve our program. Here are a few, current suggestions:
  • Offer surveys that are based on sweepstakes instead of cash
  • Offer lower paying surveys to a wider demographic
  • Search for other types of paying offers besides just Surveys
If you like any of these suggestions or have one of your own, please do share. We are eager to improve our service and not just end up being a list of "other" survey companies like most of our competitors...

To your success!

Brandon

A couple of others have mentioned that they have not seen a slow-down. I wonder if the surveys they get are "Cash" surveys. If so, then I think that either 1) they are in the perfect demographic OR 2) the advertisers must be consolidating their efforts into the larger marketing research companies (i.e. choosing larger companies over smaller ones like arc Survey )

I joined Arc Survey awhile back and do not remember getting any surveys at all. I have experienced a slow down in the amount of surveys I receive. My inbox use to be filled with at least 15-20 a day and now 5-6.
:ticked:
Most are from the same company which switches to alot other surveys when you think you are doing it for GlobalTestMarket.

As far as Lightspeed Panel goes I use to qualify for almost all the ones I would receive, now out of maybe 6 surveys I would be lucky to qualify for 1.

I think the suggestions given the post post are right on. Open them up to a larger demographics.

Also maybe do surveys for so many points and have them accumulate up to a certain amount then offer purchases for points or maybe convert to cash.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Honestly I agree with Brandon as far as the tighter demogrpahics go.. In fact my theory is that the type of surveys that I have been seeing in the past few months has been mainly about what you buy and how you would spend on it.. THEREFORE... The survey people will most likely turn to those of us who tend to have alot of money to spend so they can see what those people buy.. In the end, this is kind of pointless, since people with lots of money don't tend to do any get paid to stuff simply because, well.. they have alot of money and don't need the extra.. Those of us who DO, do these kind of things DO need the extra money or items you get from get paid to stuff.. but they don't want us because we don't have buttloads of money to spend on everything and anything we want. So it's kinda twisted. Though.. I may be twisted.. this is just a theory I have, and like always i'm probably WAY off.. still something to think about though..

In any event I have gotten a survey here and there in the past few weeks from ArcSurvey. One was 1$, the other was 2$.. I've gotten one from MySurvey for $2, and lots from Greenfield but none of them pay.. soo.. atleast i'm still getting stuff.

Yeah, this is spot on, sis. It's an ironic catch-22.

;) I GET REALLY UPSET IF I SPEND 15-OR 20 MIN. ON A SURVEY THAT IS PAYING 1.00 OR 2.00 THEN THEY WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH IS YOUR YEARLY INCOME, BAM YOU DON'T QUALIFY. I HAVE ALREADY ANSWERED THEIR QUESTIONS. THEY GET WHAT THEY WANT AND THE PERSON WHO NEEDS THAT 1.00 OR 2.00 DOLLARS GET'S ZIP. IT MAKES ME ALMOST WANT TO NOT DO SERVEYS THAT DON'T ASK THE QUESTION WHAT IS YOUR YEARLY INCOME FIRST. NOW I HAVE HAD SOME ASK IT FIRST THEN NEAR THE END OR AT THE END ASK IT AGAIN AND BAM YOU DON'T QUALIFY AND I HAVE GONE IN AND GIVING THEM A PIECE OF MY MIND. :yay: IAM SURE THIS DOSEN'T WORRY THEM BUT IT MAKES ME FEEL BETTER. I HAVE NO TOUNGE SO I DO NOT SPEEK VERY WELL BUT THANKS TO MY COMPUTER I CAN STILL SPEAK IN PRINT. { DON'T CHEET THE POOR SAP OUT THEIR TRYING TO MAKE A WAY WITHOUT USING THE TAX PAYERS DOLLAR.} EVEN IF I CAN'T WORK ANY MORE I AM STILL TRYING TO MAKE MY WAY WITHOUT ASKING UNCLE SAM FOR MONEY. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO BUY YOUR PRODUCTS BUT IF YOU CAN'T MAKE THEM WERE I CAN AND YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU CAN HELP DO THIS WHY ARE YOU ASKING THE QUESTIONS IN THE FIRST PLACE. YES I HAVE SEEN RICH PEOPLE DRIVE 10 MILES TO SAVE A DIME BUT I SEE THE POOR PERSON SPENDING MORE FOR A PRODUCT TO KEEP FROM HAVING TO DRIVE THAT EXTRA 10 MILES. I AM NOT LYING TO GET YOUR 2.00 SO DON'T WASTE MY TIME GETTING MY ANSWERES. SORRY BUT I GET REALLY //// AT COMPANIES, WHO THE POOR SAP MADE COMPANIES IN THE FIRST PLACE AND THEY CHEAT US. THE BAKER, WITH A VOICE....

I have noticed a slight slowdown in the number of paid surveys I recieve, but the surveys for contest entries has increased. I have also noticed that if you don't answer some of the non paying surveys once in a while, the paid surveys are few and far between, so it's sort of a catch 22. I did recently participate in a survey for coffee drinkers. At the end of the survey, I was asked for my mailing address to recieve some samples to try. I gladly gave my address, and received 2 full and sealed cans of coffee each at a week apart (not just sample packs, but full cans). I have received cash from survey spot and survey savvy, also have cash in my account from your2cents, but this one was unexpected as it did not mention the reward at the beginning. Maybe some companies could offer more samples, coupons, or gift cards in exchange for trying and reporting on the products. This is one of the best advertising forms in my opinion. Thanks for listening.

Thank you for your input. It's good to hear that one part of the market is increasing at least. I do agree that product samples is the best way to get people "hooked" on products. :)

I have actually found that there has been an increase in the number of surveys offered to me, especially from companies that never really sent me any...hmm. I wonder if my demographics are in high demand now? Well, I won't complain, I recently lost my job and can use the extra income. :P I agree with blackcoffeejim, I have been getting a number of product tests in as well. They are for useful items, therefore saving me even more money. I went from 10-15 surveys a day to around 40...most of them are paid, although not very much, but it all adds up. I wish you all better luck with getting the paid ones. :crying:

I would have to say that Greenfield sends me the most surveys, and alot of them too. But 98% of them are just sweepstakes entries, and not actual cash or items.. so i'm not really considering them as a big money maker for me right now.. :crying:

I'm in the same place as you guys, DC and Rockin, no slow down for me. In fact, this month has been wild with lots of surveys rolling in. But overall, it's always an up and down thing. Some months are crazy and some are slow. Tis the name of the game, I guess.
