I read on one post that you may sign up on a downline that is already posted then you can come back and post your referral, I hope I got that correct. My question is what happens if you already have joined some of the programs but need to get your downline going. I wouldn't be able to rejoin but I still need the referrals am I to wait until I'm level 2 then I would be able to post there? Someone please clear the slight fog I'm in. Thanks

Questions About "building Your Downline"?

Hello and welcome to the forum...
It is necessary to keep the downline builder clean by keeping out duplicate threads (promoting the same program). So, it is not possible to start another thread for a program in an existing thread.
If you alraedy have an account with a program, the only way to participate in the downline thread is to sign up a second account and use that in the downline builder area. So, you'd be earning on your main account and whatever 2nd account you have. Members are supposed to watch for people "saying" they signed up under them but didn't, so we hope to keep that kind of stuff to a minimum.
I hope that helps clear away some of that fog!
Cheers,
Brandon

I think that alot of the gptr sites do not allow users to sign up for duplicate accounts on the same site.
If this was the case you could be your own referral(s), have a huge downline of yourself and collect all the money.

Yes, that is true. However, it would be unfair to let other people "hijack" an existing thread with their referral link when they did not join under the previous member. That would be breaking the chain.
I cannot think of a better way to do it. I am open to suggestions, however.

What about having an additional forum where users are allowed to post ads? I actually enjoy reading ad forums because I like to see what programs are offering promotions and contests.
Well, I actually am planning something along those lines. I am going to be putting up a new forum soon that will be much more lenient on spam and downlines, etc. :)
I will post when it is ready...
It will be: http://www.spammyforum.com

Hi Enchanted,
I decided to go ahead and give your suggestion a try. We'll see how it works out and hopefully people won't abuse it too much.
There is now an "Open Advertising Forum" area on GPH. You can post ads (including banners) and let people know about whatever program you want. You can get to that part of the forum in two ways:
1. It's on the homepage, and the direct link is: http://www.get-paid-...hp?showforum=51
or
2. http://www.spammyforum.com
Both ways will get you there.
Cheers,
Brandon
