I've been searching everywhere for a data entry job online, that I don't have to pay to join, and can't seem to find one. :thanks: Are they just a myth? I actually enjoy doing it, and I'm good too :howdy: Anyone a member of, or just know of, a legit data entry site? Thanks in advance!

My roommate has one of those jobs; he edits certain webpages and get paid $10 an hour (he reports the hours he put into it). You probably won't find these jobs without any connections (my roommate's mom works at that firm).

Hello,

I am in the same boat as you are. Have been searching for Data Entry job or some other suitable jobs online. Everybody asks for money and it appears that most of these are scams.

However, if I come across a proper site I will post it. Hope you will also do the same. I believe that this is a job (Data Entry, Typing etc.) which can give one a regular and reasonable income if one lands one. Of course, if one has connections that is a different matter. Then it does not remain an online job any longer! Right!!

Good luck Vinod! I'm still on the lookout, and if I find anything, I'll be sure to post it :)

"OMG", Crystal, here we go again. I told you you have got to be my twin. This is exactly what I have been trying to get into for the past couple of weeks. Seriously, what a coininki-dink! I did find some that sound interesting, but, unfortunately, all of them cost something to join. The lowest priced one is around $17 (US funds). I am tempted to go ahead and see what happens, but, as always, when it comes to sending out money, I am very leery. It doesn't sound like a lot to spend, but it is if you keep spending more and more trying to find the right one. Anyway, if I find something legit and worthwhile, I will definitely post it here for ALL to see. And please, everyone, do the same. Maybe one of us will luck out and find the real deal and spread the news. Besides, the more the merrier, right?! Good luck to anyone looking!

P.S. This is the website (workingathome42@ netscape.net) I was considering joining. If anyone knows anything about this one, please let me know. Thanx.

If you have to pay for it, it's probably a scam :(

I'd say free offer sign up programs such as Treasure Trooper is as close to a data entry job as it gets. And the time money ratio is really good.

Thanx, cuggyuggy. I just checked it out. Hmmm, very interesting. Data entry is definitely something I want to do, but not if I'm going to be ripped off. I recently tried the same thing as indians friend did, (and paid money for one of those data-entry 'jobs).' Yes, it was obviously a scam, but I knew this before getting into it and buying. I only went ahead with the obvious scam, knowing I would lose my money, just to see exactly what the response would be. Yes, it was just I had figured it would be. A big old list of about a million jobs that you could try to apply for. And hardly any of those were even data entry positions. Feel like making toothpick angels, or putting stickers on a rubicks cube? That's what a good majority of these 'data-entry' jobs are. Seriously! What a joke. By all means, there are some possibilities of data entry jobs on the list, which I may actually get around to checking out, (for free, this time), just to see what happens. I guess you could say curiousity killed the cat, and I'm thinking I am that cat right about now, hee, hee. Actually, I am just trying to do a little searching in hopes of finding the 'real-deal' because so many people are wanting to do the same thing, but everybody's afraid of getting scammed. Can't blame them, that's for sure. I figure I could be the guineau pig for a bit, (yes, even it costs me some out-of-pocket money) in hopes that something will eventually turn up that will be of benefit to others. BTW, if anybody wants copies of the data-entry jobs I did receive, just ask, I can email it to you, and yes, all for free. It certainly isn't worth the money I spent on it, but there may be some possibilities there. Hey, you never know!

PS: Sorry to hear you got scammed too, indians friend. If you give me your email addy, I can send my data-entry 'list' to you and then we can compare notes, ha,ha. Oh, and by the way, you are not a 'fool' like you said in your posting above. Yes, you may have lost a few dollars getting your scam list of data-entry jobs, but at least you seen thru the scam and did not follow thru on what you were asked to do. Instead, you were truthful and honest and did NOT try scamming other people by making your own website that sold the same bunch of junk. The people that DO go ahead with the scam... those are the true fools. You did a good thing and should be proud of yourself! Give yourself a pat on the back.

Hey there cuggyuggy I looked at your site and I agree that most every "data-entry" job promoted online is a scam. I would have liked to do that too. However I checked your ptrs sites and in my opinion most don't look viable and scamish. Are you really getting anything from those sites beside neonlights and aquamail? Cause the rest I feel you will get nothing from and are scams just like the data entry positions.

Anything you have to pay for to join in is a scam. When net companies want you to do the job for them, they will pay you and you will be able to join for free.

I agree.. I wouldn't put much stock in something that YOU have to pay for to get paid. Just doesn't sound right. I mean.. would you pay your boss to work for him?
 I'm sure there's some data entry jobs out there that you don't have to pay to get paid. Keep on searching! (Sorry I can't tell you where exactly to look though.. =()

Hi!

I searched for data entry jobs for a long time before, and i have to tell you that they do exist although there are only a handful of positions. I was lucky enough to get a parttime that paid me $50+/hour just typing data into the database; however, most jobs do pay only around $8-10 hour. If you have to pay for the job, chances are you shouldn't take it as it really may not be anything, and one of those "Googleadsense schemes" or the "pass this along and scam others". Some large companies do have data entry.. but once again, these jobs are hard to find, and within minutes that they are posted out to the public, they are swept away!

Just my 2 cents.

Hi, there are genuine data entry jobs that you can find online - but you will have to do some research. I was working on a post for my blog and visited a site, WorkatHomeCareers.com, and noticed a listing for KeyforCash, which does online data entry US based. I applied and actually got accepted very quickly. They are FREE to join. This is true data entry. They show you snippets of information, which you key and they pay a flat rate per 1000 accurate characters. If you are a good and fast typist, this is a great way to make some extra money online. They pay by check weekly if you make $50 or more. They do have a waiting list, so I was really surprised I got accepted so quickly. I am building my speed and LOVING IT! You can stop and start as you wish, work when you like (you are an independent contractor not an employee).

Workathomecareers has other listings - search under data entry and general transcription. A great site for looking for work at home jobs. Virtual assistant is another category you might look under.

Another company I have heard of is Working Solutions. They have all types of work at home jobs, including data entry. and it sounds like they are flexible. Lots of favorable comments about them on the Net, but have not checked them out myself.

work is that data entry can be performed with the comfort of your home using a desktop computer or laptop. You just need to find an employer who is found in different sites and ads. You only need to apply for that job. If you have the skills necessary for an employer, you are immediately called or used directly.
