Is anyone here a member of Shopper's Hotline? I recieved an email about it and it sounds good, but maybe like a lot of work for little payout? Not sure. Thanks!

I received that one today, too, and it brought to mind what I've read either here or on other forums regarding the use of the scanner and subsequent submission of data. People seemed to find it onerous, remembering to scan everything and then having difficulty with the method of data transfer. For me, sounds like the game is not worth the candle. However, if you decide to try it, please keep us posted. Using the internet for submission, as this group does, will probably be much simpler than using the phone line, as the others do. One caveat: be sure your computer has whatever connection their scanner requires.
Best wishes to you

I got an invite, too...it sounds similar to the Nielson Homescan panel I am part of.
I would have signed up for the Shopper's Hotline, too. but, didn't want to download another software program....was afraid it might interfere with the Nielson program.
By the way, the scanning & transmitting of data with Nielson is no problem. I scan every barcoded purchase we make, and, transmit by computer once a week.
I figure the Shopper's Hotline system is similar.

Shoppers hotline is just like homescan. But shoppers hotline has the worst customer service i have ever had the misfortune of using. They dont seem to understand the importance of communication. I still dont understand exactly what ill be getting for doing this. You can run this one thru your telephone line.

They contacted me too about a year ago and I tried their program (am doing Neilsen also, and have no problems with it) but Shoppers - did not work with my phone line and then we swtiched to Brighthouse phones, and they could not answer if it would work, so I returned the scanner, and every time I do a survey and they mention Shoppers, I never hear back from them - guess I am on a list that they do not contact :lmao:
Also read on another forum that Shoppers has cut out all their gift cards and are now giving you a debit card for a specific amount of cash - if this is what you want - go for it and let us know how it turns out.

It's like Homescan, but you connect through your telephone line. It uploads information sometime during the night and you get credit for each week you scan.
OK, granted customer service has the thickest East Indian accents I've ever heard, but they DO call me when something is wrong, they DO follow through. I had some problems with my scanner when I first got it, but now it works fine. I just got my first payout for $6. I also won $5 and got $10 for signing up for the internet program. It pays $5 a quarter in addition to your regular earnings from the scanning. It sounds confusing, but if you just scan stuff every few days, you'll get money. Simple as that. It's not going to make you rich, but it's a little extra in my pocket. And they offer excellent discounts for local restaurants, movies and attractions. Lots of 2 for 1 dinners in my area...gives me a reason to get a babysitter. :-) They aren't so bad. I'd say give them a try if you got an invite.

I suppose your right, its really not that hard to do, not any harder than the homescan program, wich by the way i like much better. Yesterday they finally sent me my debit card with 11$ on it, i also got 18 spins wich didnt pan out(i hate stuff like spins or entry's into contest, they never seem to go my way).

I signed up and am waiting to hear back from them. So now the earnings are strictly a debit card?
