I just started doing this whole mystery shopping thing (as in, I just started applying to companies on Wednesday) and did my first shop with them this evening. I was really excited!

This company currently has a big contract thing going with a nationwide restaurant chain regarding alcohol compliance. They ask mystery shoppers between the ages of 21 and 27 to visit a particular location, order an alcoholic beverage, and see if they get carded or not. At the end of the visit, you reveal yourself to the manager -- the restaurant covers your drink, a non-alcoholic drink for one guest, and an appetizer. I didn't even have to worry about getting reimbursed -- I literally walked out of the restaurant without paying a dime!

My particular restaurant location also included a $5 shop fee (which I believe is partially because the shop was so last minute -- it needed to get completed this weekend), so I'll be getting a check in the mail next month too. :)

Oh, and once you're an active shopper, they'll pay you to refer your friends. :)

I have done shops for them as well and yes, they are very good and reliable and have some fun shops that don't take too much out of you :)
