I've done some research on some mystery shopping companies. Due to the fact that I live in Louisiana, some shops arent available, yet some are . Some companies may not have shops open in your location...but don't get frustrated.
you have to check on the day to day basis. Its good to apply to at least 3 companies. Also the scheduling is great and most of them pay the following month.
Most of them require your SSN# if you dont trust doing this DONT SIGN UP....some places allow you to type 000-00-0000 for your SSN. Make sure you are ready to type a couple of reasons why you deserve to be a mystery shopper because in these applications they want to know what level you are as of reporting shops.

List of great sites:

Service Intelligence
Intellishop
NSS
Franchise Compliance
Maritz
ICCDS
spies in disguise
JC and associates

Thats all I have so far! Im going to look for some sites for others in canada or the UK. I know its hard to find those also.

I have my first shops Tuesday so Im really excited....they will be with 2 chicken places and a smoothie shop. I don't think we could name the company ...don't want to get in trouble :offtopic: . Ill tell you how it goes!

Did I mention that some sites grade you on your shopping experience? Well I received a 10/10 for the smoothie shop and I should receive $10.00 via paypal.

;) So think about this, if you sign up with a lot of mystery shopping companies. get some nice shops to do (if available) you can get at least 10.00 an hour.

 Worst thing can happen: you may not have any shops available in your area and you dont have extra change to do your shop.

Help -- I want to try to do these but I just am stumped on the part when they ask for a writing sample for recent exp. in a restaurant. I'm trying Spies in Disguise. What are they wanting? I'm just not able to think of how to put it together since I'm really not sure what they are wanting.

I'd like to try to do these and was just wondering if anyone could help me out on this part.

Thanks a bunch

Witl recent experience, you can always talk about how great a waitress was at a restaurant or how dirty the dishes were. Maybe you went shopping for clothes and no one was there to help you or give you advice on maternity clothing. I told them about the time we went out to eat and the food was extremly cold and the silverware were so dirty you can see clumps of food on them. Make sure you tell them that you are a great observer and a reliable person. 150 word isnt so long ....wait till you have to do the audit forms for shops! its like 400+ minimum. Im a good blabber as you can see...... :wallbash:

it has been a couple years since i have tried them but i used to be a mystery shopper for
www.secretshopper.com
they paid me good back then and i notice they are still around so i was wondering about your opinion on them also.

i usually did the restaraunt shopping jobs where i could go get something to eat and be reimbursed for the cost of the food and get paid to do it also

I also really like

http://www.dsgstars.com/Welcome.aspx?Retur...%2fDefault.aspx -- got paid $30 for a airport parking assignment last week. They pay via check.

And I also had signed up for

http://imyst.com/

While I haven't mystery shopped for them yet, I do get paid surveys from time to time. They pay via paypal.

No problem. A bit lesser known but I do get paying surveys from them from time to time. So worth it.

I think the reason behind asking you tell them your experience is to see your:

- descriptive skills
- observation skills
- attentiveness to detail
- listening skills
- communication skills

That's just off the top of my head. If you do all very well or even a few of them you'd be alright. But the more you are in any one of those skills the better for the client who seeks the mystery shopping companies to shop their employees and/or facilities.

Hope that helps you understand what they are looking for.
