This is a review of consumersofindia (com).

I joined this site about 4 months back. I was surfing the net and found their ad somewhere. Intrigued about a survey site from India, I joined up. My Bad! blink.gif

The site promises to have regular paid surveys, paid to click links, and paid sign-ups. However, I found only 3 surveys on the site, way back when I joined. These paid about Indian Rupees 10 each (that is equal to about US$0.25). So I did these three surveys, and got credit of Rs. 30 (i.e. about US$0.75). They also credit Rs. 500 (i.e. US$ 12 or so) to my account as joining bonus.

Since then, the site has been shut down 3 times, has had server trouble, and not a single new survey. They started payouts in january 2005, but only a handful of members have received payout (I suppose most of them are staffers!).

The payout is Rs. 2000 (US$ 45) by cheque/draft. No paypal or anything like that! By my calculations, It will take me about 500 paid to click ads / or about 200 surveys before I reach payout!!!

One particular feature of this site is that it has been duplicated heavily. There are currently sites in India like consumersindia (as against consumersofindia), dhandaulat, indianconsumernetwork etc. which are essentially same, and they are all operated from Kerala, India.

My 2 cents on consumersofindia (com): Dont Join!!!

Thanks!
