I am sure we have many people here who are in a "well settled" family: married and having children too. Working from home can be pretty hard especially when you have to deal with the family issues every day .. how do you juggle these 2 things: your family problems and your at home job? Any advice?

I think that you can handle your social life and your work just like in the case you had any other job... Perhaps even easier when you work from home! Though you are interrupted all the time by your family, by phones ringing and friends visiting... Cause they might not get your job very seriously when you're working from home.
On the other hand, it's better to work at home in case anything bad happens : if your kids get sick and so on..

Well, i am still in college, and it is not so hard. I can almost make my own schedule and i still have time to visit my parents and go stare in shops with my sister.
My sisters boyfriend works from home too. His work schedule is 7pm - 3am. It's pretty easy for him. He has the whole day for himself (almost all day, he sleeps till noon).
I don't have a strict schedule, but i can easily juggle with it.

Here are some things I have learnt:

1. Make them realize it's a JOB.

My folk kinda mistake my staying at home most of the day with being available to run all kinds of errands. Well excuse me, I am home indeed, but I do have to work. Who's gonna put food on the table in the end?

2. Keeping a schedule is hard

Maybe because all my folks think I don't have a "real job" (even if my web development job is my second). Maybe because I have many things to do in a day and I work at nights. It's not healthy, it's hectic, it's gotta stop. Make a schedule and keep it like that.

3. Don play, don't chill when you have to work

Of course you're home and you'd like to watch something on the TV or play a game. Well, remmeber it's WORK and try to focus on that too . Don't slack, don't waste time.

I don't work from home that much. I am a beginner in the money making online business and I can still take care of my family as I should. My 9-5 job pays the bills and I can fool around in here as my folks like to say. I would like to earn some more this year so that I can work more from home. As most people I really hate my boss

I have toddlers.. so I just make the time.. I choose to stay at home and we have our scheduels..but I am only doing surveys so this can be done at anytime.. which works for me..

I start in the morning.. and then check in during the day and then when they are asleep... its all me and my emails ~grins~

its just a matter of balance..

My kids come first .. but I also know that I have commited to working at home and would like to increase what I bring in..

guess it all comes down to orginazation and determination~
